We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in a wide range of essential tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming goods, accurately storing them in appropriate locations, picking and preparing orders for shipment, and assisting with outgoing shipments. This role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be working with various types of inventory and will need to maintain high levels of accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction. Safety is our top priority, and all associates are expected to follow our comprehensive safety program, which includes the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and employing safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack orders with care and precision, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Stage finished orders for shipment and assist with loading trucks.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation and by participating in cycle counts.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE and safe lifting guidelines.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Identify and report any safety concerns or operational inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Willingness to follow safety instructions and wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
