We are hiring a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, organizing, and distributing materials to various areas of the facility. This involves operating equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring safe and timely movement of inventory. The role demands physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adherence to all company safety protocols is mandatory. Your contribution is key to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Must be capable of consistent lifting and moving of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following safety regulations.
