We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory. Your ability to work efficiently and maintain high accuracy rates is essential for ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to our supply chain's success. You will utilize picking tools and potentially technology like RF scanners to navigate the warehouse and retrieve products. This position requires a strong sense of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. We are committed to providing a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and consolidate products from designated warehouse locations according to customer orders.
- Use pick lists or RF scanners to accurately identify and gather items.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of items are picked for each order.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company Safety rules and wear the required PPE .
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming inventory as needed.
- Meet or exceed individual and team picking targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in order picking, warehouse, or related field is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Understanding and application of warehouse Safety practices.
