We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. This critical role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be the first point of contact for many shipments, playing a key part in maintaining the integrity of our logistics supply chain. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items for proper storage.
- Stage goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and provide support to other warehouse functions.
- Handle tasks involving the proper Lifting of incoming inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Experience with WMS or similar inventory software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and proper PPE usage.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
