We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely. This includes managing staff, coordinating workflow, optimizing storage, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of productivity and quality within our logistics department. Your leadership will directly impact the performance of the warehouse, from receiving to shipping. A strong understanding of Safety procedures and the ability to motivate a team are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Develop and implement warehouse operational strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, enforcing all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning.
- Monitor productivity and implement measures to improve performance.
- Handle employee relations issues and provide coaching and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Proficiency in Safety regulations and procedures, including OSHA requirements.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Experience with equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Capacity for Lifting and managing heavy items is often required for team oversight.
- Commitment to maintaining a culture of Safety and accountability.
