We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, processing, and organizing incoming stock, as well as picking and packing orders for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, as you'll collaborate with various team members to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
