As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the physical movement and organization of goods throughout our facility. This includes receiving materials, transporting them to appropriate storage locations, and preparing them for outgoing shipments. Your role is essential to maintaining an organized inventory and ensuring the smooth running of our distribution network. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide thorough training on proper lifting techniques, the use of pallet jacks and other equipment, and the importance of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against documentation.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items efficiently and safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including staging and basic packaging.
- Keep the work area clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as directed.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and contribute to team goals.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role is beneficial.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
