Job Summary:
Are you an experienced professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? Join our team in Baltimore, Maryland as an Inventory Control Specialist. This crucial role involves maintaining the integrity of our inventory data and physical stock, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing inventory control procedures. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse processes. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, including identifying slow-moving or excess items.
  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with receiving and shipping processes to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting and manual tasks.
  • Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
