Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for an exciting opportunity in the logistics sector? We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy distribution center in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. Your day-to-day activities will involve using handheld scanners to locate products, verifying quantities, and ensuring that the correct items are picked for each order. Once picked, you will meticulously package these items, ensuring they are protected during transit. This position requires a keen eye for detail to guarantee order accuracy and minimize errors. You will work in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and precision are highly valued. Adherence to our stringent safety standards is non-negotiable; this includes the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understanding safe lifting techniques to prevent workplace injuries. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect products for any damages or defects before packing.
- Package items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages with shipping information and ensure correct destination.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items during the picking and packing process.
- Assist with replenishing pick locations as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Team player with good communication skills.
