We are looking for a reliable Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse operations in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in the efficient handling and movement of materials, ensuring timely loading and unloading of shipments. Your role will involve operating forklifts safely and efficiently, transporting goods to designated areas, and assisting with inventory counts. A keen eye for detail, a strong adherence to safety protocols, and the physical capability for lifting and moving items are essential. This position is key to our logistics chain, requiring a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, including the consistent use of required PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas.
- Perform daily safety checks and routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory accuracy through proper placement and tracking.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Ensure correct use of PPE and follow all safety guidelines regarding lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating forklifts (at least 1 year preferred).
- Forklift certification is an advantage.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
