We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving a range of tasks from receiving goods to preparing them for shipment. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring product quality, and facilitating timely order fulfillment. You will be part of a team that upholds high standards of operational excellence and safety. Your adaptability and commitment to quality will be crucial in supporting our overall logistics network and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Stock merchandise accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision and efficiency.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly follow all company Safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents.
- Ensure appropriate use of required PPE at all times.
- Participate in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience working in a distribution center, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control systems.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
