Are you an organized and motivated individual looking for a rewarding career in warehouse operations? We're hiring an Order Picker in Columbus, Ohio! As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy. You will be navigating our warehouse using pick lists and potentially RF scanners to fulfill orders. Your contribution is essential to ensuring our customers receive their correct items quickly and efficiently. This position is fundamental to our order fulfillment process and directly impacts customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use RF scanners or pick sheets to identify and locate items.
- Pack selected items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or shipping area.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE .
- Operate order picking equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to handle Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment.
