We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Columbus, Ohio facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the overall integrity of our stock. Your work is vital to our logistics efficiency and overall business operations. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other tools to track inventory movement and identify potential issues. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. You will ensure that all procedures, including the use of PPE , are followed diligently. While this role is more analytical, understanding the physical aspects of warehouse operations, including occasional lifting , is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to address inventory-related issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist in process improvements related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds) and stand for extended periods as needed for audits.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
