Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently.
• Perform repairs including welding, electrical wiring, component replacements, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for tracking work orders and asset history.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and appealing environment.
• Supervise or assist with team members during maintenance projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Read technical schematics and mechanical drawings to execute precise repairs or modifications as needed.
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is running optimally with minimal downtime.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
• Hands-on welding skills with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
• Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding junior team members or overseeing projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical instructions accurately.
