Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the global rollout, strategic adoption, and long-term success of the Benchling platform across a large biopharma R&D enterprise. Benchling plays a critical role in standardized metadata capture for Omics workflows and serves as a registration system for oligonucleotides. The platform is expanding across diverse scientific groups and use cases, supporting harmonized data structures that enable advanced analytical pipelines and digital lab transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise-wide Benchling program strategy, roadmap, and delivery plan
  • Establish and oversee governance frameworks, prioritization processes, and stakeholder alignment
  • Drive enterprise-level adoption, communication, and change management efforts
  • Translate scientific, business, and operational needs into structured program plans, milestones, and execution pathways
  • Work closely with R&D, digital, data, and IT teams to ensure effective Benchling configuration and integration
  • Oversee intake, requirements definition, and release planning
  • Champion standardized data models, metadata frameworks, and FAIR data principles across scientific teams
  • Monitor program KPIs, value realization, adoption metrics, and platform performance; present updates to executive leadership
  • Support budget planning, vendor collaboration, and resource management

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program leadership, digital transformation, or scientific informatics in global pharma/biotech
  • Proven success leading Benchling implementation at enterprise-scale
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex global pharma environments, manage senior stakeholders, and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Experience building governance structures, change management strategies, and large-scale adoption frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Omics workflows and scientific data lifecycle requirements
  • Ability to clearly communicate business needs and scientific priorities into program execution plans, timelines, and roadmaps
  • Excellent senior stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive reporting capabilities
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to work closely with engineering, data, and platform operations teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140, $170,000.00 per year
