Overview

Join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will be part of a dynamic engineering team. You will be working on the design of machine tools and the automation that accompanies them through a large cross section of industries. As a growing company with many different markets there is a lot of room for design creativity as well as the satisfaction of seeing projects through to implementation

What you'll do

  • Design and develop mechanical systems using SolidWorks as well as a large selection of 3D printers to test prototypes
  • Conduct testing of designs to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Engage with customers directly to collaborate with them in the design of their project i
  • Implement programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in system design for automation solutions.
  • Robotics are a large part of our automation solutions. Fanuc as well as Universal. a solid understanding of those platforms is helpful.
  • Work with CNC machining processes to bring designs from concept to reality.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles with a focus on mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in drafting and creating detailed technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with machine tools and or automation

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Pneumatics, PLC's, Robotics, and other automation motion is helpful.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices related to mechanical design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
