Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and ingredient selection.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety protocols.
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and waste management.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours.
• Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests or front-of-house staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or culinary environment.
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining service enhances your candidacy.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and catering procedures is required.
• Prior work in the food industry or kitchen experience supporting high-volume service is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $25.35 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
