We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our rapidly expanding Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and developing AI-powered testing solutions while leading the transformation of existing automation suites into modern, scalable, and maintainable systems. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong software engineering fundamentals, and a steadfast commitment to quality.

What You'll Do

  • Architect automated test solutions that support modularity, reusability, and maintainability across frontend, backend, and
    integration layers
    .
  • Design and develop AI-powered testing solutions to enhance automation intelligence and efficiency.
  • Migrate legacy test suites to a modern framework with improved maintainability and performance.
  • Develop and execute automated tests to validate application frontend and backend.
  • Create and maintain a centralized function library to promote reuse, consistency, and maintainability across test suites.
  • Develop automated tests across UI, API, database, and integration layers.
  • Validate complex features such as offline mode
    ,
    caching, and
    sync mechanisms
    .
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable feedback.
  • Analyze server logs and system behavior to identify issues and root causes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and techniques to enhance automation efficiency, stability, and scalability.
  • Influence test strategy and engineering-wide quality practices, helping teams shift-left and build quality into development from the start.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, including AI-driven testing
    ,
    low-code/no-code test tools
    ,
    and emerging best practices.
  • Advocate for shift-left testing and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Recommend tools and frameworks to enhance test efficiency and maintainability.
  • Mentor automation engineers and participate in code and test design reviews.
  • Stay current with industry trends, including AI-driven testing and best automation practices.

What's Required

  • 10+ years of experience in test automation development
    for
    frontend
    and
    backend systems
    .
  • Strong experience implementing and scaling test frameworks across multiple application layers and technologies.
  • Solid hands-on experience with automation tools such as Tosca, Playwright, Selenium, or SoapUI etc.
  • Experience testing Angular or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Proficient with network debugging and traffic analysis tools, such as Postman, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Wireshark, etc.
  • Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills to troubleshoot automation issues and investigate root causes.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies and test design principles.
  • Ability to write clear and maintainable test code, with emphasis on reusability and scalability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring automation of QA engineers or leading quality initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What's Preferred

  • Background in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience testing EHR.
  • Experience with Citrix.
  • Exposure to AI-based testing tools
    or frameworks.
  • Experience using Tosca and NeoLoad
  • Experience using performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience offline, local storage, caching mechanism validation and sync logic testing
  • Experience with test data management and synthetic data generation.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected total cash compensation for this role is market-driven, with an expected starting salary of
$148,500 to $181,500
. Salary is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
