ready for a new opportunity? I'm working with a leading engineering company in the sensing systems industry to recruit an Engineer to work in Horseheads, NY.

This facility designs, manufactures, and tests gaseous-based radiation detectors and associated hardware used in commercial, research, and special-purpose nuclear reactors worldwide.

Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain a federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

• The position involves contributing to the design, analysis, and documentation of components that operate in extreme environments, supporting nuclear power and research applications globally.
• Analyze and interpret design documents to ensure high-quality calculations and analyses.
• Prepare or verify specifications for materials, manufacturing, and testing.
• Develop technical documentation, reports, and design of experiments.
• Support Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams by resolving technical issues and reviewing specifications.
• Assist in identifying critical characteristics and addressing non-conformances.
• Provide input for technical proposals and customer inquiries.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
• Technical writing and documentation experience
• Experience with process testing, reviewing data of manufactured products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
• CAD Design experience; AutoCAD Inventor, Solidworks a plus
• Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and MS Power Automate a plus, MS planner a plus
• Labview experience a plus
• Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain a federal security clearance
• Valid Driver's license
