Job Summary
We are looking for a Project Manager – Data Inventory to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and motivated professional with strong organizational abilities and experience managing complex technology projects in regulated environments. This role will involve supporting a large-scale Data Inventory effort spanning multiple tools and projects, requiring exceptional project management skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across various organizational levels without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Tool Implementation : Finalize the project roadmap and onboarding of a new sensitive data scanning tool and lead the transition to business-as-usual operations post implementation.
- Legacy System Sunsetting : Lead project planning to sunset or offboard an existing tool, requiring engagement across multiple lines of business and teams within the organization.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration : Work up, down, and across the organization, including influencing without direct authority to drive project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with key stakeholders, including Corporate Information Security (CIS), Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Enterprise Data & Analytics Services (EDAS), and others to plan the sunsetting of the outgoing tool.
- Project Management Excellence : Manage project scope, scope changes, objectives, requirements, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders while identifying, tracking, escalating, and resolving issue conflicts.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, information management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, including both waterfall and agile methodologies
Skills:
Proficiency in both MS Project and Jira
- Strong organizational and program management skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with ambiguity while driving progress forward
- Ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Capability to manage dependencies, risks, issues, and action items across project teams
Other: Ability to perform impact analysis and prioritization while managing complex stakeholder relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in business administration, information management, or related field
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of financial services industry regulations and compliance standards
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience with technology or data projects preferred
