BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Under direct supervision, responsible for providing programming, integration, and project management services for a variety of applications. Develops documentation and training related to assigned interfaces.

REPORTS TO

  • Manager, Business Applications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree required

Degree: Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

License/Certification Required: None.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Two years of experience with system design and programming preferred.
  • Eight years of technical experience with computer systems can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Service oriented.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Is proactive and makes routine decisions independently.
  • Must have above average problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and other computer applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manages projects concerning integration implementation, maintenance, and upgrades to new and existing interfaces.
  • Performs development and maintenance of all interfaces in a timely and effective manner.
  • Analyses and evaluates the requirements and feasibility of new interfaces and interface modifications.
  • Provides periodic reports on the status of all assigned integration projects.
  • Provides complete software and process documentation resources for support personnel and end users.
  • Integrates the hospital's mission and vision into daily tasks through dedication to customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and collaborative working relationships as applies to Information Systems
  • Provides training for appropriate personnel to ensure software products are used effectively.
  • Provides effective project management training for appropriate team members.
  • Participates in opportunities for continued education as assigned or required for problem solving and technical expertise.
  • Willingly accepts any other assignment that may be requested.
  • Utilizes hospital resources and time respectfully and accountably.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 1-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
