Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Coordinator opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, organizational, and project support to a project team, ensuring effective coordination, documentation, communication, and schedule management. This role works closely with project managers, engineering leads, regulatory staff, and customer representatives to maintain compliance with procedures, support project reporting requirements, and keep the project team operating efficiently.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable working in a regulated federal environment, and experienced in supporting large, multidisciplinary technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager and technical leads in daily project operations, task tracking, and deliverable management.
- Support development and maintenance of project schedules, action item lists, staffing plans, and tracking tools.
- Assist with preparation, formatting, and quality review of project documents, presentations, and reports.
- May coordinate internal and external project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items, and distributing documentation.
- Process procurement requests, purchase orders, and vendor coordination in accordance with procedures.
- Maintain project correspondence, organizational charts, contact lists, and controlled records.
- Assist in preparation and submittal of-required reports, monthly status summaries, risk registers, and performance metrics.
- Ensure administrative processes comply with contract requirements and site-specific procedures.
- Interface professionally with customers, subcontractors, and partner organizations on behalf of the project team.
- Validate data for accuracy before inclusion in project dashboards, milestone reports, or management briefings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience coordinating administrative or project support functions on federal government projects.
- Experience using project management tools.
- Experience with spreadsheet and database management, data analysis, report preparation, and budget management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- United States Citizenship is required
