Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, ensuring all areas are organized and sanitary at all times.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or portioning under supervision.
• Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean serving ware and assisting with dish logistics.
• Follow food handling safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations during all cleaning processes.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes for service periods.
• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, and waste disposal to uphold a hygienic workspace.

Skills

• Strong understanding of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering operations.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations including bussing, basic food preparation, and serving.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff.
• Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and techniques used in commercial kitchens.
