Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and via telehealth platforms. The Therapist will play a vital role in supporting clients through mental health challenges, behavioral issues, trauma, and developmental disabilities. A strong background in psychotherapy, crisis management, and specialized counseling techniques is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology and ICD coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis, and other evidence-based approaches.
- Provide individual, group, family, or child counseling sessions tailored to client needs.
- Utilize crisis intervention skills to manage acute situations effectively and ensure client safety.
- Deliver specialized services including addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation following HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and patient care coordination.
- Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts to improve therapeutic outcomes.
- Engage in telehealth sessions utilizing telehealth experience to reach clients remotely when appropriate.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates and ICD coding practices relevant to behavioral health diagnoses.
Experience
- Proven experience in psychotherapy or clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, or special education populations.
- Experience with crisis management and crisis intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical records management under HIPAA guidelines.
- Background in social work or behavioral health disciplines is preferred.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology or working with medication management is a plus.
- Prior telehealth experience is desirable for providing remote mental health services.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly valued. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55, $70,000.00 per year
