Duties

• Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including box trucks and other delivery vans, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques to handle heavy items efficiently
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple customer locations throughout the day
• Deliver packages, supplies, or products directly to customers' homes or businesses with professionalism and courtesy
• Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately in company systems
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading inventory onto trucks, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean workspace
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate schedules, address concerns, or resolve issues promptly
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance needs immediately
• Handle manual transmission vehicles where applicable, demonstrating skillful driving for various truck types including box trucks
• Support moving or load & unload activities as needed during busy periods or special deliveries

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on customer service excellence
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading goods and using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks and commercial vehicles preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
• Skilled in route driving with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or traffic conditions
• Knowledge of manual transmission driving techniques (if applicable) for various truck models
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Strong organizational skills for managing deliveries, documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards throughout the day
