Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Fry Cook will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fried items according to menu specifications and dietary department guidelines.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring all items are cut accurately and safely.
- Assist in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests.
- Participate in ongoing training related to culinary techniques, menu planning, and food safety practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, especially frying methods.
- Knowledge of culinary principles, including menu planning and catering services.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices.
- Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Skills
- Basic knife skills and ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
