Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Psychologist to join their on-site mental health team within a correctional facility in Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to providing evidence-based psychological care in a secure environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Active Psychologist license in the state of Oklahoma or eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to start date.
- Clinical experience in mental/behavioral health — school psychologists are not accepted for this role.
- Ability to work fully on-site at the facility (this is not a remote position).
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct comprehensive psychological screenings and evaluations using clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and review of available records.
- Provide accurate documentation of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations.
Treatment Planning & Delivery
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and level of functioning.
- Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services using evidence-based techniques.
- Apply a strong understanding of psychological counseling theories, behavioral interventions, and treatment modalities.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and security staff to support integrated mental health care.
- Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and contribute to coordinated care plans.
Rounds & Crisis Response
- Make regular rounds in segregation or restrictive housing units to assess inmate well-being and mental health needs.
- Conduct crisis assessments and provide immediate psychological intervention for inmates in acute distress.
Behavioral Monitoring & Consultation
- Consult with psychiatry, medical, educational, nursing, chaplain, and security personnel to understand changes in behavior or mental status.
- Recommend de-escalation strategies and support confrontation avoidance when necessary.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Prior work in correctional, forensic, hospital, or community mental health settings.
- Experience with crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, or trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and risk assessment tools.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130, $155,000.00 per year
