Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? R. H. Foster Energy is seeking a motivated, people-focused professional to join our team as a Branch Manager in Training (BMIT). This is a structured, multi-phase development program designed to prepare you to lead one of our Energy Services branches with confidence, ownership, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Branch Manager in Training, you'll learn the full scope of branch operations under the mentorship of experienced leaders and the Director of Training & Development. Your responsibilities will grow over time and will include:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise Service Department staff, customer service teams, and drivers.
  • Participate in hiring, training, development, and performance management.
  • Build and maintain a positive culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and champion a safety-first environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, productivity, delivery scheduling, and branch performance.
  • Manage inventory processes, budgeting, invoicing, billing, and administrative duties.
Customer & Community Impact
  • Model our Customer Promises and represent R. H. Foster Energy with professionalism.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and in accordance with company policies.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and company leadership.
Ownership Mindset

You'll build the skills needed to lead your own branch—driving operational success, customer satisfaction, team performance, and financial results.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree OR 1–2 years of related experience/training OR an equivalent combination
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret technical information and create clear reports
  • Mathematical competency for calculating rates, budgets, and operational metrics
  • A strong commitment to safety, service, and teamwork
  • Class C Driver's License (required) and clean driving record
  • Willingness to obtain additional certifications, including Hazmat 126
