Construction Project Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager, Supported by: Superintendent
Heath Steel is currently looking for a Construction Project Manager. Project Managers are critical to the overall success of the project from preconstruction through closeout. This includes managing budgets and subcontractors, understanding scope of work, reviewing shop drawings, scheduling, as well as managing submittals and RFIs. They are also responsible for maintaining relationships with our customers, suppliers, and trade partners through clear communication and planning.

Key Project Responsibilities:
- Assume complete, start-to-finish responsibility for multiple projects operating concurrently
- Demonstrate and apply thorough project knowledge
- Schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes
- Apply leadership, technical & management expertise to work effectively with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors and others involved in the project
- Responsible for reviewing Scope language in our subcontract with the GC and understanding the other terms of the contract so all customer expectations are met
- Manage the submittal process including requesting, reviewing, assembling, submitting, and tracking submittals
- Analyzing and marking up shop drawings and confirming they meet the scope of the project and match what should be provided by the contract documents
- Generate and Manage purchase orders and subcontracts
- Submit RFI's and execute responses
- Price, negotiate and manage change orders between clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Manage project cashflow and costs, responsible for ensuring monthly billings are sent to the customer and reviewing and coding all job-related invoices
- Responsible for working with and managing the rest of the project team including project accountants, project superintendents and project engineers
- Develop and maintain relationship with Pre-Engineered Metal Building supplier (Chief Buildings)
- Attend and coordinate site meetings to support Superintendent when needed
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, and 2+ years as either a project engineer or project manager
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft suite, Bluebeam, ERP Systems, Procore, and Raken
- Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and present information clearly and precisely to build lasting relationships
- Strong analytical skills to maintain a high level of detail and precision while managing multiple projects with time constraints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $95,000.00 per year
