QUALITY CONTROL CHEMIST - LEVEL 1

Great Opportunity for Entry Level - with the right Degree

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or a related science field and 1-2 years laboratory experience is preferred, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment with solid dosage forms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine lab testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished product and/or stability samples as per approved test methods, in compliance with all QC and company SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Operate & maintain basic to intermediate lab instrumentation and associated accessories and operating software.
  • Maintain neat, orderly & cGMP compliant documentation for all testing performed including lab notebooks, chromatograms & report forms, C of A;s, spec sheets & glassware labelling.
  • Adhere to and promote all lab health, safety and good housekeeping practices. Assume leadership role in lab clean ups and related initiatives.
  • Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances responsibly & in full adherence to federal and company regulations.
  • Complete projects accurately and timely with minimal errors, repeats and analyst induced investigations/deviations. Follows management's instructions to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Participates and contributes to lab and company meetings and training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned by QC Manager or Director

Must have competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written command of English language.
  • Ability to perform and produce quality work in a Pharma environment that is highly regulated by governmental agencies such as FDA and DEA.

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions: Ability to work with chemicals, reagents and solvents in laboratory environment, with some light lifting, some reaching, bending, standing .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56, $62,000.00 per year
