Retail Store Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team member to join our boutique. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of retail operations. As a you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while effectively managing sales transactions and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions and credit card payments accurately.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Assist in inventory management through regular stocking and restocking of merchandise. .
• Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations to ensure accuracy in transactions.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to be self motivated and get things done without being asked.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone when necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of merchandising principles and retail math is beneficial.
