About the Role:

The Inside Sales position at Spokane Steel Foundry is a critical role focused on driving revenue growth by managing and expanding customer relationships within the steel industry. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing product information, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. This role requires a deep understanding of steel products and manufacturing processes to effectively communicate technical details and meet client needs. The Inside Sales professional will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance customer loyalty, increase sales volume, and contribute to the overall success of Spokane Steel Foundry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in inside sales, preferably within the steel, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to understand technical product specifications and translate them into customer solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the steel foundry or metal fabrication industry.
  • Familiarity with steel industry standards, terminology, and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and order management software.
  • Additional training or certification in sales techniques or customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with existing and prospective customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to understand their steel product requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and process sales orders accurately while coordinating with internal departments to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and order status using CRM software.
  • Provide technical product information and support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional steel products and services to maximize revenue.
  • Assist in developing sales strategies and contribute to forecasting and reporting sales performance metrics.
