Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage meal preparation timelines to ensure timely service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
• Assist in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service.
• Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.

Skills

• Proficient in knife skills and various cooking techniques.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Experience in meal preparation and menu planning within the food industry.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent time management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Previous experience in catering is a plus but not required.
