Exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada! Join our dynamic logistics team and play a critical role in managing the flow of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This position requires diligence, physical capability, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be instrumental in ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and accurately, supporting our overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve goods.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers accurately and safely.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure proper documentation of all material movements within the logistics system.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily operational goals.
- Follow all instructions regarding the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is essential.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, with the capacity to lift up to 60 lbs using correct lifting techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and vests.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
