Join our team as a Material Handler in Sacramento, California! This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our logistics center. You will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement, storage, and retrieval of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from various transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage locations within the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in accordance with logistics standards.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation of material movements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational demands.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse position.
- Proficiency with various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs, using safe lifting methods.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and inventory control concepts.
