We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, involving the movement and management of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict safety standards.
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational readiness before use.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all material movements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 lbs, using proper lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
