Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, warehousing, and distributing materials within our facility. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
  • Verify counts and identify materials against shipping documents and orders.
  • Perform inventory checks and cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Understand and follow all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and material handling.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
