We are seeking a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse facility. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring that all materials are properly staged for distribution. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen eye for detail to maintain an organized and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and security of goods.
- Receive, identify, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Pick and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical checks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall team success.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
Experience with material handling equipment is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, is essential. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are paramount. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions meticulously. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus. This role demands reliability and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving in a busy logistics setting.
