Join our premier logistics facility in Washington, D.C. as a certified Forklift Operator. This critical role involves the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and ensuring proper stacking and organization. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. - Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- Ensure proper usage of PPE at all times.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
