We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be working closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. - Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Use pallet jacks and other equipment to move materials around the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including accurate labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing appropriate PPE.
