We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to grow within a thriving logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all company policies.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
