Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Place and retrieve inventory items from racking systems.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Strictly follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all material handling tasks.
- Contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a forklift operator role within a logistics or distribution center.
- Proficiency with various forklift types (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to strict adherence to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
