We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with shipping carriers, verifying order details, and maintaining records. This position is key to our logistics operations, supporting seamless product distribution. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Verify shipment contents against outgoing orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with trucking companies and other carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory records related to outbound goods.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support the overall Logistics function.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with shipping software. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting . Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace is essential. This role is critical for ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.
