*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a *PRN basis!*
The ideal candidate will work with children and adults to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as they relate to speech and language development. The SLP will collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.
1. Supervises the Rehab Aide, students, and volunteers as assigned.
2. Provides therapeutic interventions in accordance to the treatment plan, assists to return to as high of a functional level of activity as possible.
3. Documents daily clinical interventions and occurrences which includes skilled observations, objective base lining weekly, and response to treatment.
4. Maintains appropriate resident schedule to assure compliance with treatment plan and PPS guidelines.
5. Records daily billing documentation.
6. Adheres to the ASHA Standards of Practice.
7. Participates in care conferences and required in-services as indicated.
8. Participates in the departments QI as assigned.
9. Participate in activities to assure and facilitate effective department operations.
10. It is part of my job duties to ensure resident safety.
11. Notify Thurston Woods Village, in writing, thirty days in advance of a separation of employment date.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
1. Support the Corporate mission, purpose and philosophy.

3. Deal tactfully with residents, visitors and fellow employees.
4. Adhere to residents’ rights according to State and Federal guidelines.
5. Be accurate, neat and complete (initials and date) in recording and reporting.
6. Complete work/assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Be self-motivated/working with minimum supervision, using good judgment/reasoning.
8. Be accepting of supervision/constructive criticism.
9. Maintain uniform/clothing in compliance with guidelines.
10. Use supplies and financial resources appropriately.
11. Other duties, projects and activities as may become necessary or as directed by the supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Sitting, standing, bending, and lifting safely to perform job duties.
2. Exposed and subjected to challenging and difficult, at times stressful, nature of the aging and healthcare environment.
3. May be subjected to a variety of healthcare related infectious diseases, substances, contaminated articles, etc.
- _This is a Category A position, requiring procedures or other occupation-related tasks that involve exposure or reasonably anticipated exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material or involving a likelihood for spills or splashes of blood or other potentially infectious material. This includes procedures or tasks conducted in nonroutine situations as a condition of employment._
4. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
