Job Summary:
Our Seattle, Washington facility is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to ensure the efficient and safe movement of materials within our logistics hub. This role is critical for maintaining inventory control, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring the overall productivity of the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport goods, load and unload trailers, and stack inventory. A strong focus on safety, precision, and adherence to operational procedures is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and finished goods.
  • Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution.
  • Transport inventory to and from storage locations, production lines, or shipping docks.
  • Perform daily pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements using the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and accessibility.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as needed.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe working environment, supporting overall logistics efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Certified forklift operator with a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts in a busy warehouse setting.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with WMS or similar logistics software is a plus.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts if required.
  • Willingness to strictly adhere to all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
