Job Summary:
Our Portland, Oregon facility is looking for a proactive Distribution Center Associate to support our growing operations. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will engage in a variety of essential warehouse tasks, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. Your contributions are vital to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely order fulfillment, directly impacting our customers' satisfaction. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role provides a great opportunity to learn various aspects of logistics and contribute to a dynamic team. We emphasize teamwork, safety, and operational excellence in all that we do. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Stock inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners or order sheets.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, palletizing, and staging.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as trained and certified.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse workspace.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with other distribution center tasks as assigned, which may include lifting.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar logistics role is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.
