We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk at our busy logistics facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, playing a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies, and accurately documenting all received items. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to incoming shipments. A meticulous approach and strong attention to detail are vital to prevent errors and maintain the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for organizing and stocking received goods in their designated locations. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment for all. This role involves physical activity, including lifting and moving packages. We are looking for reliable individuals who are team players and possess good communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Inspect received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Verify delivery documentation against purchase orders.
- Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety and PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
