Seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize operations at our facility in Washington, D.C. This position is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our warehouse equipment and systems. You will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of various warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is essential. You will perform routine maintenance checks, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Ensuring a safe working environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This role demands problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in a similar maintenance role within a logistics or industrial setting is highly preferred. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and repair techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
