We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is essential for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating various types of forklifts, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and ensuring that all material handling activities are conducted in compliance with company safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, clamp) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock location verification.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics and operational guidelines to ensure efficiency and minimize damage.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
- Participate in warehouse safety training and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience (minimum 1-2 years).
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and experience with PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
