We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a key part in our overall logistics chain. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and stacking goods in an organized manner. You will perform daily inspections of your forklift to ensure it is in good working order and report any maintenance needs promptly. A strong focus on safety is essential, as you will be operating heavy machinery in a busy environment. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, along with the correct use of PPE , is mandatory. This position requires physical agility, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as bending and maneuvering in tight spaces. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the overall logistics operations and team goals.
- Regularly perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated ability in safe operation and material handling.
- Capability for lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control procedures.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
